One of my favorite summer events in Cleveland is “Parade the Circle”, sponsored by the Cleveland Museum of Art and University Circle Inc. A great variety of community, school and religious organizations create contingents to march in the parade, with rather strict rules about their appearance. For example, no logos, no commercial advertising, no powered vehicles.
My friend Partho and I went to the parade and found a place to sit on the grass near the Museum of Natural History. There was a huge crowd for this year’s parade, despite temperatures in the mid-80s. The parade lasted over an hour; then there are entertainment stages, food stands and activity booths sponsored by UCI organizations.
The rest of my flick photo set is here.
