Yesterday my new Maytag refrigerator (made in Newton, Iowa, my home state) was delivered. It is the latest installment in my ongoing replacement of aging home appliances. (New Maytag washer and drier were installed on New Year’s Day 2005.) This unit has a pull-out freezer on the bottom with ice maker.
The delivery men were not successful in installing the copper water line to the refrigerator, and the door handle has to be switched from left to right, but that is supposed to happen on Saturday. Now I have to make a pledge not to fill it up with useless old moldy food and semi-empty pickle and salsa jars.
