An easy day (for a change)

Last week, when I was frantic to practice and neurotic about my recital, I had meeting after meeting after meeting all week, with barely a moment to sit down. Today I have the opposite extreme: almost everyone is out, either on vacation or on business travel. My one meeting of the day was at 8:45 AM; now it’s done, and I can spend time in the office. (I confess that I’m not working that hard today…..) But don’t tell anyone.

I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend. I turned in my Cleveland Orchestra subscription tickets for tonight to get a tax donation, because I don’t feel like sitting through one of Mitsuko Uchida’s snooze-fest all-Mozart-piano-concerto concerts. How tedious. I can find better things to do.
